Posted it on reddit want to give my eve-o bros something to troll about while they're at work
Several months ago I tore my alliance away from their Class 5 wormhole known as "Valhalla". A pleasant place with no effect and wonderful class 3 static. I took them from their nice quiet home isolated in the stars and thrust them into an unforgiving storm. That storm is called J105934..."Nova" a class 6 wormhole with a magnetar effect and class 6 static. There, they have lived and thrived as an amazing unit and pvp force that has gained some notoriety with in the wormhole community. Three months ago we happened upon a system, J120512 a class 6 wormhole with a class 3 static and a Cataclysmic Variable effect. The effect of this wormhole gives a 100% bonus to remote repair and capacitor amount making Guardians extremely effective for any and all PvP activities. When entering this system we discovered its inhabitants "Reaper's Grin" an alliance with a very old corp heading it called "In to the void" the corp was a decent size at 120 members so we figured we would engage them and see how well they fought. RGRIN refused to fight. We put a 7 man fleet in their hole and held back ten members of our fleet to see if they would fight. We had seen they had at least 10 people online and in hole and even with provocation they refused to take the fight. Twenty minutes goes by and nothing so we decide to roll them away and go find pvp else were. Feeling cheated one of our members throws an alt for scanning in their hole to harass them a bit and get them worked up so we can go fight them later. Weeks go by. We rolled into their hole several times and everytime we either were able to gank a tech 3 running anomalies in their static c3 or they would POS up and go AFK refusing to give an actual fight. My alliance Ragnarok. continued to grow and we continued to watch as RGRIN would run their home sites and then log off. One instance while they were running sites we decided to try and gank them. we formed up a fleet with friends from Semper Ubi Sub Ubi and Skyfighters. before we could pull the trigger on the operation and drop our 65 man fleet on their capital ships they finished one site and everyone in RGRIN logged off. Displeased with how these kind of people could live and thrive in C6 space we set a plan in motion to MAKE them fight. We began chain collapsing our static. Forcing enough mass through a class 6 static will collapse it and form a new random C6 wormhole. So hours of chain collapsing would be done everynight to try and push a fight from them. Everytime we connected they would log off. So, we decided to smoke them out. Now while chain collapsing for them everytime we connected to their wormhole we would push 3 critical mass capital ships in to their hole and log them off. We started with one Thanatos class carrier two Moros class dreadnoughts and a Revelation class dread. While talking to friends of our alliance "Scary Wormhole People" (WHBOO) and Dropbears Anonymous (the Brave Newbies wormhole corp) they asked if they could join in on our operation. We set a timeline and the warmachine plowed on. This last weekend was our trigger date. Chain collapsing started 6 PM local time. we moved 3 WHBOO dreadnoughts in to Nova through a null sec entrance and 2 carriers and a dreadnought through a dircet connection to their wormhole. at 7 am Local time the next day the connection was made. Three dreadnoughts were moved into RGRIN's wormhole and logged off as the subcap fleet lead by Azandar and A Damn Patriot began to establish control of the c3 static. A low sec direct hole was used to bring an additional 3 dreads in and the siege began. The main POS was sieged by the first wave of capitals while members began to chain collapse from Nova again. An hour later Nova reconnected moving an additional three dreadnoughts. With 9 dreadnoughts and 3 carriers we began to reinforce every structure in the wormhole. the reinforcement took a mere few hours while the Executor of the Reapers Grin alliance called for everyship in the wormhole to be self destructed. It was at that time a spy within their alliance was activated and we acquired another Archon class carrier with a full rack of fighters and 5 billion isk in combat vessels. Negotiations began between myself and the Executor of RGRIN that fell apart when his own hubris clouded his judgement. So our fleets plowed on in 24 hours 521 ships were destroyed in the wormhole, only 13 by weapon fire. every scout that sought a chain to k-space was either destroyed or rolled away due to the vigilance of the sub cap fleet. For three days we responded to timers and destroyed everything that we could within the wormhole. Full hole control maintained for 24 hours for 3 days. 15 billion isk in damages and a capital fleet self destructed worked out to roughly 50 Billion killed in the weekend siege With defectors jumping ship to warm arms Reapers Grin has collapsed and will eventually fade away into the history books Wormhole space is a strange place... Kings rise and take power while plundering and pirating about while older kings atrophy and rot on their thrones and die only for nature to take its course and have the new kings eventually suffer the same fate of atrophy and death. The balance of power forever shifting and trading hands while newcomers rise to the challenges and elder entities fade away. The circle repeats its self over and over and over with so many of the old greats already gone. Our alliance has stepped up to the plate to try and remove the atrophy and bring wormholes back to life and to the glory they once held. To be honest i felt bad for them. I even recruited some of them and helped them get back on their feet. A few even came back to help destroy the last of the POS in their old hole "Wormhole corps are like a bunch of homeschooled kids" |

In wormhole space, everyone is expected to give fights, especially in the higher end wormholes. If you just want to sit around and carebear all day, and log off when someone comes knocking, then dont live in a womrhole. Highsec and Rented Nullsec is for carebears, not wormholes.

+1 for that Also, I didn't realize how well you could write Dmitry. I do not like how your paragraphs aren't space, but apart from that, it flowed very well. Definitely a pleasant read. I also support evictions in this instance. If what you say is true, their time had come and it was a good death offered. Its sad their leader did not embrace it and die gloriously.

Styledatol wrote:I get evictions. SSC has done more than i can recall. why the hate towards carebears? its a sandbox people play however they want. sure it gives you the right to do what you want too, such as eviction. But dont turn it into some holy crusade against the evil carebears - that job belongs to the goons and the rest of their degenerate friends.
I get that its a sand box I really do. People are entitled to play the game any way their little hearts desire. But I ask you this. How many hours of rolling holes has SSC had to get fights? How many holes with 20 man corps farm away with impunity? Its not just their sand box is mine and yours too. If we have to extend or sand castle a little more to make the sand box more fun for everyone else around it so be it. That is of course just my opinion "Wormhole corps are like a bunch of homeschooled kids" |

We tried Multiple times to do exactly that. at one time we brought in 5 thoraxes into their home hole with no logi and they stilll fought us even when we had no fleet on standby "Wormhole corps are like a bunch of homeschooled kids" |

Since the dawn of wormholers have we not shown our shear hatred toward those of the Null Sec life who think that they have half a right to walk into our territory of Eve and "farm some wh moon goo".. yes that is a direct quote from a Null Sec group once evicted from a C6 wormhole. I realize I may be getting a tad off track here, but our destiny as wormholers is to cleanse those less deserving of that which could be held by someone who is more deserving, is it not? If it is not our purpose as wormholers, hell.. as superior beings of this game, to eradicate the lesser Farmers and Null Seccers from our Promise Lands, gifted to us via the graces of Bob Himself, then what has this even been all about?
If a group can not even honor fight and throw away a few T1 Bc's or Cruisers.. then what right do they have to be in that wormhole? I am not saying that I have a right to decide these things..I am simply asking you all.. what right do they have to waste space that PvPing entities could be utilizing? This sounds like some Westboro baptist ****. Also, there's no shortage of C6 holes for PvP entities...
I dont know if you know this jester.... but not every empty c6 is the one someone wants..... A C6 CV- C3 with only 17 moons.... good find. "Wormhole corps are like a bunch of homeschooled kids" |

If yes, then there's a reason instead of just epeening that you evicted someone and that's fine and dandy. If no, then you removed content/time.
They were ready to move in the day after the op. The post wasnt "epeening" it was simply telling a story. but judging by your reaction to it im going to go out on a limb and say your "epeen" isnt very endowed. "Wormhole corps are like a bunch of homeschooled kids" |

Joan Greywind wrote:Sith1s Spectre wrote:Joan Greywind wrote:I understand the need to evict them, but why blob them? Isn't that a bit hypocritical? And how is evicting them going to create more fights? Maybe destroying most of their poses without actually evicting will drive down the message of bringing more fights? It just seems now we fabricate reasons such as honor and religion to create fights, without admitting hey there is actually no good in game reason to fight.
We b**** about null and then use the tactics they use.
I also have a gf, because it is so relevant to the discussion.
And I understand you are the CEO of the corp, but try to use more "we" and less "me" in your posts, it was pretentious.
Rant over. Joan I think you'd have to be one of the biggest hypocrites on the WH forums. I mean honestly have an opinion on something rather than just disagree with the way everyone does something. Example - the thread about the fight with us VS SYJ and Polarized. you criticized them for not podding us and being ruthless, however when Ragnarok are ruthless and evict someone you also whine about the way they do it. I am not stating my view on what they should have done. He stated they evicted them because they provided no fights. So he decides the best way to have more fights (the stated reason of the eviction) is to kick them entirely out of wh space. I love evictions wish there was more of them, but don't be hypocrytical about it. The real reason they evicted them is that they were bored and had nothing better to do. Again I am not saying what they should or shouldn't have done it, just be consistent with your logic and reasons for doing it in the first place. For some reason not giving fights is dishonorable and a deadly sin in wh space (even when you know that corp is stronger than you), but blobbing is perfectly fine, the logic just isn't consistent. My other post, where I stated my disagreement about not podding, it wasn't the "not podding" particularly that bothered me. It's the fact that we have to use methods like that on the off chance we have more fights. Fights a so little and far in between. Fighting for fun is amazing, but sometimes fighting to gain a strategic or tactical advantage is also needed, which does not exist in wh space currently. 4 years now with the same fights and the same setups, t3's with guadian support on the hole (maybe on the pos in case of evictions), and the odd ecm tengu or neut legion. In serious fights a bhaal or two are brought or in escalation situations a triage archon. The meta is stagnant, there is no strategic initiative and if you saw 1 fight you've seem them all. Is that still hypocritical?
Ive done my best with Ragnarok. to not force them into the t3 meta i let them fly what they think is fun to fly. having the same fleet doctrines as everyone else makes pvp stale. they still use t3's often but a lot of the time you will a spattering of other ships in our fleets as well from ishtars to eagles to battle cruisers. its up to the individual pilot. we use t3 only fleets when we have to and only when we have to. Hell, we have a guy who likes to fly offensive haulers. its all about the fun they have as an alliance with our fleets
